Stikatak responds to customer survey demand

Stikatak, the market leader in flooring accessories, has entered 2006 responding to findings from their Christmas customer survey by changing the length of all trade pack metal profiles to 0.9m and 2.7m from the beginning of May.

Building regulations for all new houses have changed to allow for downstairs wheelchair access. Many of the countries leading house builders now work to a minimum downstairs internal door size of 0.864 m (2’ 10”). This makes 2’ 8” (0.81m) profiles redundant for all new builds.

John Stock, sales director commented, “Whilst we appreciate that the old housing stock is not going to disappear; many of our customers feel that standardising all profiles will reduce waste from 8’ (2.438m) profiles and also stop having to stock both 2’ 8” (0.81m) and 3’ (0.915m). We will be changing our prepack range later this year. ”

Stikatak’s busy start to 2006 looks set to continue through the year.
